Whenever I watch a Peter Pan scene, all I can think about is how to inject as much Panlix into the scene as possible.
And wooooah boy, this scene. Every moment is Panlix-injectable:
- First off, Peter Pan and Felix are completely alone. And judging from the tiny campfire, they’re clearly not at the main camp. Peter Pan and Felix private campsite where they can have some
sexy timesalone time to plan?- Peter Pan carving a spear? We only just saw Henry turn a stick into a sword by believing. Then why is Pan even doing the manual work of carving? To spend time with Felix. What better excuse to spend some quality time with his favourite lost boy?
- Barely a second after Peter Pan flinches, Felix notices right away and drops whatever he was doing to the ground.
- “How shall we stop them?” As if Felix really could do anything about someone escaping Neverland. “How shall youstop them” would be more fitting but Felix just feels the need to volunteer himself prematurely whenever Pan needs help (Also really love the way Parker Croft says this line. Kinda quiet like, as if he’s a bit worried)
- "Don’t worry Felix” D’aaaawww, so Pan noticed Felix all scared and jumpy. On top of that, Felix looking so scared for Peter’s sake. Double D’aaaawww.
- Also, when Pan goes “Don’t worry Felix”, his left arm lifts for just a moment before settling down. I’m going to assume that Pan wanted to drape an arm around Felix but thought it’d ruin the mood.
Not because Robbie Kay was just adjusting his arm. Nope. Not at all.- Felix mentions Storybrooke. All the lost boys are trapped on the island so they have no way of knowing about the realms, only Pan and his Shadow have that power. Which means Peter Pan must’ve personally told Felix about Storybrooke.
- Tying in with a scene from 3x08, Wendy tells the Nevengers Pan’s true plan. We never learn how Wendy knew about this plan and it seems unlikely for Pan to tell her straight up. But in this scene, Wendy’s cage is hanging right behind them. It’s completely likely that she overheard Pan talking to Felix about their plan. Another piece of evidence showing how Pan divulges his greatest secrets to Felix and Felix is completely okay with them.
- Felix smiling evilly when Pan mentions Wendy in the cage. Being aware of the Darling brothers and what Pan is forcing them to do. Knows Pan abandoned his son Rumpel. Still has undying loyalty to him? What a psychopathic nut-job. But he’s Peter’s psychopathic nut-job and that’s just precious.
As a side note, I feel like a line was removed prior to Felix saying “Storybrooke?” because I do not understand why he said that at all.
Hands down, this is my definitive Neverland Husbands scene. Heck, even carving up weapons is pretty much the Neverland equivalent of domestic chores.
I’m also never going to stop imagining an alternate version of this scene: Instead of carving up weapons, Peter is curled up on Felix’s chest sleeping and he jolts up awake when he senses someone leaving the island.
