My blog being semi-private, selective or private does not mean I believe myself to be better than anyone else nor does it mean I am not open to writing with someone outside of my comfort circle. The following is what it means or could mean:
- I simply do not have a strong muse for these characters and thus I limit my interaction.
- I have anxieties or discomfort and prefer to only write with other writers I know or have known for awhile and thus trust.
- I have a busy life that limits my schedule and or availability to spend hours writing so I limit who I write with.
- I am not sure if this is a muse that will hit it off for me and be strong at all so I am limiting those I write with while I figure that out.
- I have a large number of followers and it is impossible to interact with every single one of them.
- Any other possible situation that a person might have, it shouldn’t matter because it is their blog, their muse, their life and their choice.
It will pretty much never mean any of the following:
- I don’t like you.
- I don’t like your character.
- I think I’m better than you or other writers.
- I am trying to be rude or elitist.
Please do not assume that these are my reasons or that this is the situation. Please understand that people have their reasons and that it is a malicious one is most probably not the case.
